Labor Day Weekend- No Days Off!

Mike likes to say that holidays are days on... not off. There's too many fun things to do to take a day off. For example...

We rented the city pool for our own private swim party- diving for money, pool games, and diving board competitions.
Tractor Show- this was mostly for Michael. We can be in the car for an hour on a car ride, not hear a peep from the back until... "TRACTOR." That's how we know Michael is really awake in the back seat.Mike's nummy BBQ

The Labor Day Race and Parade (Race Times... I hope I get some slack for being pregnant. Mike beat me again. A- 26:22, M- 25:08)Hot Dog Eating contest (Mike tied for 3rd place... yuck!) and Pie Eating contests (My pie was frozen, how fast do you think I could really go knawing down a pie with my front teeth?)Lots of Games!

Lots of Family!

And of course, lots of treats from Labor day to Forever (for Mike only).

Alissa! Hey, so let's be honest, I'm totally a "closet reader" of your blog too. It's always just awkward to get over that "hey, so I read your blog all the time and know all about your life even though I don't talk to you." So good job for getting us passed that! We were obviously destined to know each other with all our connections. :)

So about the house...the downstairs is very similar to yours. It's pretty much the same layout except for we have a study right off to the right when you walk in. Our model is a Richmond home-Chestnut/Hudson. I remember going into your upstairs and that is actually quite a bit different. Our master bedroom is on the same side as your kids' bedrooms and our master is not nearly as big as yours was. We also have a loft. If I remember right your stairs were insanely steep just like ours. But that's funny because Steve and Adrienne said that exact thing about our house totally reminding them of yours.

I'm glad we're both finally out of the blog closet. By the way, there have been several times I almost posted comments on yours...not sure why I didn't. And congratulations on the pregnancy!

Hooray for playing. Looks like you guys did good having a day 'on'. Man it makes me want to move to your town to play as much as you! How many more races do you guys have left this summer?

Looks like you guys had a blast!! Makes me really miss Parowan, we didn't have nearly as much fun here on Labor Day.

I love the story about Michael and the tractors. I think it's so funny and cute when little kids express their "boyism" or "girlism". I'm excited to see that come out in Austin.

Holidays and Sundays are definitely not "DAYS OFF!" Your kids are so cute! Congrats on your news, you're doing amazing for being pregnant and doing so many things--you definitely win an award for that. Best!
