A few days after the baby was born, we got together with some paints and made a sign for our front yard. It was a fun way to let our neighbors know about our good news! They were all excited to offer congratulations and all of them came with all their kids one night!! (Halloween) Adelyn even picked out some balloons to put with the sign as her present to Michael.
Today is the 2 week birthday for Michael John. What an event! Here's how we chose to celebrate!
We were so thankful to have help this past week! "Grandma Hamilton" came to take over for Mike as Adelyn's storybook reader. She appears to be well versed in mothering, and was able to help out with much more than reading. For the last two weeks, the two helpers have been wonderful for our first experience with two kids.
Our Halloween baby was glad to be out, enjoying the holiday. Adelyn was glad he was here too so dad could take her trick-or-treating. She woke up the next morning and wanted "candy!" for breakfast. Michael is already one week old! And Adelyn has been so mature for mom! It sure has been fun!
