Here is the outside of another house we recently made an offer on. The counter-offer came back because the sellers changed the dates... so we signed, Mike sealed (his first real estate transaction as an agent) and we delivered the official papers this week. As long as the place can get through probate before the settlement date, it is ours. There is some work to be done... We will start on June 28th with some heavy-duty projects for anyone who wants to join us!
Recently we made a trip up the canyon for some early morning fishing. It was so windy, the serene lake had huge swells and was crashing up the rocky shores. After spending the night before catching Night Crawlers, we had to do something with them. So Adelyn and Mike named them while we waited for the wind to die down. The wind never died down, so we went home early. The worms are still in our refrigerator. Mike promises he will put them back where they came from soon... To understand the change of heart, refer to the recent post, "No Touchy!"
Here is the house we never bought. Perhaps we will be known as the deal breakers in this small town. So, the adventures continue. The moving chapter is far from over.
After planting our family night garden a couple of weeks ago, we thought we'd have to wait until next year to redeem ourselves, but this is not so. The next door neighbor offered her garden so we got to work with 28 tomato plants, 12 pepper plants, 4 rows of corn, beans, peas, pumpkin, zucchini, broccoli and cucumbers, and maybe something else, but I won't remember until it comes up.
On the eve of Mother's Day, I am posting pictures of me as a mom. I haven't been real good about posting pictures of myself, and so tonight I will be starting what I hope to be a healthy habit. Soon this will be the Crockett Family site, rather than the Kids of the Crocketts site. I love Mother's Day because it reminds me of what a phenomenal job I have!
