Bringing Him Home from the Hospital

Our poor puppy is home from surgery and feeling pretty miserable. He has not eaten or drunken much since Tuesday and cries and cries. We've tried to be extra nice to perk him up, even the kids will sit by him and rub his back. Michael went as far as offering his favorite cereal- Honey Bunches of Oats. We are hoping he heals soon so he can play again.

Results

Thanks for making lots of good guesses. The plane trip was 4 hours round trip and quite scenic. They flew down to Page and back up to Cedar City. The correct answers were:
1. Lake Powell (more specifically "Lone Rock" which we water skiied around and around this summer.
2. Parowan. He took a couple pictures with the blue house in it, but I didn't look close enough to post one of those.
3. Bryce Canyon and an airplane wing.

Name that Geological Point of Interest

This week Mike went up in a plane with a friend in the ward who is studying to be a commericial pilot. He had to leave at 4:30 in the morning, but had a great bird's eye view of some pretty fun places. We'll send Skittles to anyone who can name the three places from the pictures below. The contest ends next Sunday when we post the results. Sorry to those who miss the contest because they don't check our blog once a week :)

On the Road Again- Part II

We made another drive this weekend- this time up to Salt Lake. It was supposed to be a quick trip, however there were a few surprises that made it quite a bit longer.
Surprise #1- We run slower than we used too. We ran the Dash for Donation somewhere between 27-28 minutes (I'm a lot better at remembering exact times when I was the winner... but Mike beat me by about 30 seconds this time). It was a pretty fun race; there were about 700 other people to manuaver around.

Surprise #2- It took over an hour to get pancakes from IHOP.

Surprise#3- Mike lost his cell phone. Considering he needed it Monday for work, we drove from IHOP in Lehi back to Salt Lake then re-continued our journey back south. Turns out it was by my feet the whole time, whoops!

Surprise #4- We made a stop at the Chevron in Provo. No, we didn't run out of gas: Adelyn threw up and needed a major wash down. Thank goodness it was mostly all over Uncle Garrick's blanket. Here is a picture of Adelyn after she was all cleaned up and happy.

Surprise #5- We made a stop at Cove Fort. No, not for any sight seeing: Michael threw up and needed a mega wash down. The missionaries there let us borrow a garden hose when they saw the damage. Here is a picture of Michael after he was all cleaned up and happy.Mike still made it home in time to help with the ward activity, which turned out to be a major success. And all is well that ends well. Adelyn and Michael both appear to be fine, although we are keeping them from church today just in case.
