It's a....

We drove up to the hospital to get an ultrasound today.  We picked up Joey from school, and made it to our appointment just in time.  A second later and I wouldn't have made it to the bathroom in time.  I think that "full bladder" rule is cruel to pregnant women.

Since we had Joey with us, we asked that the ultrasound tech talk in code when referring to the baby's gender, but we really wanted to know.  By the end, he had talked so well in code, Mike stayed after to verify the results.

The verified results are...

It's a GIRL!

Picture Time!

Oh, how the kids cringe when it's picture time!
This particular day must have been too sunny, because all the kids are just dying!  Joey, especially has super, super, super sensitive eyes, and just can't hardly breath when he's in the sun.  Hence, the best shot of about 2.  Any more than than would have been torture.
So I moved them to the shade, but really, Joey was already getting a migraine.  So, no facebook cover photo here :)  Just darling kids!

Soccer Season for Adelyn

Adelyn decided she didn't really like soccer at the very first game.  I didn't get to be there with her, but I heard, they made her take her earrings out, and she really didn't want to.  After that, she found a few things in soccer practice she could stand, like a game, "hunting and hunted." And she enjoyed some of the games, where she got some good kicks in.  But overall, she won't choose to do soccer again.  I liked watching her play, and being outside on a Saturday morning, letting the boys run around on the field behind us.  The field in Parowan is gorgeous, with the mountains in the background.  And most of all, when she showed bouts of confidence, I beamed!
Most of the time, Adelyn played the position of "Brilliant Back."
She loves to run!
Along with a beautiful soccer field, comes occasional and terrible dust storms.  They come up often enough, that the kids just have to play through them.  I'm pretty sure they play with their eyes closed!
