Doesn't this look like we should have gotten something for 2nd place??

So 1st place gets $250, and we get...??? Publicity??? Sigh...

Turkey Dinner

The boys got it done quick. They left for the hunt early Monday morning and were back by mid-day with a limp turkey. After driving around the area and listening for turkey, they picked a good spot about a mile from our house. Congrats!The boys were even willing to clean it all for us, we just had to cook it up. Yum!This one's for you, Don!

Joey's Birthday

Yes, like a month ago, we celebrated Joey's birthday. We are so lucky to have Joey in our lives. He is happy, likes to learn, and is very helpful.

Temper tantrums from him (thus far) are close to zilch. He tries to tell jokes, pretends to snore, and falls on purpose just so that people will laugh. He makes us laugh most times, because he says something so clever, he just CAN'T be two!

He repeats EVERYTHING. He learns so much through language. You don't have to show him how to do something, you can tell him. Today while I was working with Adelyn he informed me, "Mom, I need homework." And he certainly does need to be learning something all the time. I don't know how I'll keep up as a mom.

If I ask Joey to help, he almost always replies, "sure, sure." And a common question while I'm doing anything is, "Mom, I help you?" He has always been a very organized little boy and cleans up very well, not to say he doesn't like to make a good mess :)

Here's the thing about spring...

So it's spring, and things are blossoming, just like they should, and then it snows. A lot.So we bundle up for some sledding.
But it's warm and we do a lot of uphill walking, and so ... we sled in shorts and boots.So... we dress like summer, feel like spring, and look like winter!
