The Milky Way
The kids took another field trip for preschool to the dairy just north of town. I was so glad I went. I was way more enthralled than the kids and learned so much. The kids favorite thing was to drive down the feed line and see the cows faces up so close.
I'm sure it helped that we were in the car, protected from the seemingly massive animals.
Holiday Scenes
We ran out of room for a Christmas tree in our family room. So, for now, this little arrangement is taking place in our kitchen. I think it's pretty fun, but I can see why it can't be long term... too messy.
Mike, Mr. Funnyman thought it looked odd that neither Joseph or the Shepherd in our nativity had staffs or crooks. Don't think I didn't notice it at first glance.
Noticed our buddy Goofy was towing a sled the other day. I know it was Adelyn... she loves to tie knots.

Cooking Time or Craft Time?
Okay, and the best game ever... How much do you think I paid for this lovely bunch of yams for Joey. I figured if I were to actually buy this much canned baby food it would be over $20. Let's just say they were on the 85% off sale! Wahoo.
Oh, but here's the best part. Joey got a mega diaper rash after his first taste of yams and might be allergic. These are the little things that make me smile :)

Tradition Times Two

For the second year in a row we have participated in a kid-crafted Christmas card exchange through Kids Craft Weekly. The kids put together 10 Christmas cards and hope to receive 10 in return (we've already gotten 2!) I think it's so fun to see where we get to send cards. I love picking out stamps. I like to put at least 3 different and fun stamps on each envelope. The kids love opening mail addressed to them. Mike loves that we get fun new stamps for his stamp collection. Today we got one from Austrailia.
The town also has an annual lighting ceremony and candlelight parade that we like to go to. My family likes to make homemade candles. I made one this year, but used the wrong wicking so it didn't burn. Too bad!
