I am so excited to meet them. Any guesses on how big these boys will be? You should for sure win a great prize if you are the closest.
Here's some tips and hints from my perspective-
- Our other babies have been between 7 and 8 lb. and have been born at 38-41 weeks.
- Babycenter.com states the average baby to weigh 6 1/3 pounds at 37 weeks.
- Ultrasounds can be up to a pound off in either direction. Our ultrasound at 35 weeks stated Baby A to be 6 lb. 11 oz. and Baby B to be 6 lb. 8 oz.
- Babycenter.com states that babies at this gestation gain an average of 1 oz. a day.
- Baby A has always measured bigger than Baby B in ultrasounds.
- At 35 weeks I had gained 35 pounds. The nutritionist seemed to think there was a relationship with weight gained by mom and weight gained by babies.
- Babycenter.com says if you start at a healthy weight, you should gain about 37-54 pounds with twins.
- At church, someone who had been seated behind us in the meeting said "I just have to ask... how many babies to you have in there?"
- My brother-in-law's friend called and asked if he could drop by with his wife. It had been a while since they'd stopped by the house, so when Seth asked why, he said it was so he could show his wife how huge I was. She didn't believe his description.
- While we were out shopping, a little girl about 6 or 7 years old started walking backwards so she could stare at my belly longer. She didn't notice me wave, because she was really only looking at my belly.
- The man at Costco who said, "You're never going to get away with those watermelons under your jacket!"
- My doctor, who walked into the room while I was flat on my back said, "You look like you're just holding a medicine ball. You do know how big a medicine ball is, don't you?"
