So... I'm a Sugar-Free Sucker

So after finishing up my "year against sugar" last November I decided I was never doing that again. However, being 6 weeks postpartum is just the motivation I need to try something new with regard to treats. I have come up with a new "year of moderating sugar" solution. You can join me, and find the details at my own "Shaking Sugar" blog. Mike is doing his own similar sugar deal and suckered me into joining him. Laugh if you will; join me if you're not a chicken!

still finding our groove
This little guy has been with us for 6 weeks now. He's starting to stay awake longer, trying to smile, and getting so big!
Sometimes I feel bad for the kids when I feel like I've spent extra time with the baby, but they seem to be keeping themselves entertained. This is a picture of Adelyn. I'd like to document that Adelyn has already qualified for a knot tying merit badge with her skills. Michael is a good guinea pig and in this instance, rides along in a basket. Too bad the experiment didn't hold up well. Michael fell flat on his head during the first "test drive."

Fresh New Haircuts
Joey... four weeks today
Sorry Michael, Joey got a better pic in the paper. His baby announcement debuted Thursday in the Review (looks like the link will only work another day).
I also snapped this little photo of Joey with the baby the kids gave him. I just laughed a little, because he looks so tired, as if that baby doll has been keeping him up every two hours in the night, and I thought it was about time someone showed him what it was like.

Regardless of our lack of sleep, we all still got ready for church on time.
