Mile Run

We signed up for Cedar City's "Main Street Mile," but opted out of the race at the last minute.  They'd already given us the T-shirts though, so we figured the kids better earn them by running a mile at a later time.

Today was the day.

We got all set up at the high school track.  Setup included: Barstool, plywood "table," 3 oz. dixie cups, water, Gatorade, marker (to count laps), camera and timer.
It was awesome.  I'm always so proud when the kids finish something hard, in this case, 4 laps around the track.
The starting line.  Everybody is all ready to go!

Nelson
Adelyn decided she wanted 8 dots (laps), instead of 4, so she just kept running.  I was impressed she was able to finish 2 miles with no complaints.  She's a great runner!

Here she is with all her dots!  She doesn't even look tired!
