Memories of October: Adelyn style

Adelyn is in her second year of preschool. Her teacher has some fun ideas! She had us come to the pumpkin patch for an outing and they each got to pick out their own. Adelyn is a sweet kind of stubborn and wouldn't pick a different pumpkin, even though I told her that the one she had picked was already squishy. I think she didn't want to make the pumpkin feel bad.
Adelyn also loves BYU, but not because she loves football, but because it is "popular" to love BYU at our house. She worked hard to earn enough money to buy her own hat and modeled it all night long.
Chores she did to earn her hat: picked up seed pods outside, ripped out our old garden, shined dad's church shoes, helped clean the garage, swept out grandpa's garage, ran invitations around the neighborhood with mom, washed walls, etc. One day after some hard work she came inside and said, "can I just sit for a while?" Adelyn was a pumpkin for Halloween. A costume she said, "doesn't make sense." I will post a picture so you can see why.
She also caught a fish and asked, "can I kiss it?" Um, I guess...
