As soon as I saw the Moscow Ballet was going to be in Cedar City, I called and got tickets. I anticipated the event with lots of excitement, and kept it a secret from Adelyn. On the way to Cedar she read the story of the Nutcracker, and guessed that we were going to see a show. She was thrilled! After a quick dinner at Denny's (yummy turtle cheesecake), we got the theatre. We got great seats, right next to another 7 year old girl giddy with excitement. It was fun for them to play off each other and anticipate the next scene, or help tell the story. I LOVED our little date night, and we listened to a CD of the nutcracker all the way home.
And then she got sick and the Turtle Cheesecake ended up all over her bed that night. Such is the life.

sad that she got sick. glad that she didn't get sick at the ballet. sounds like a fantastic show to go see!
