If you didn't see the ad, I happen to have the pdf copy of it that I can share.
The Annual Fund called up right after we'd had the babies and asked if we'd be willing to do a photo shoot for them. They wanted to take Mike and I somewhere fun and scenic and take a few pictures. I was feeling like such a mommy machine at the time that it sounded like a fun distraction and something different from the norm. It's nice to get a fun date on the calendar every once in a while. So we say yes! We write up a little bio. After they've given it a glance, they see we have twins and pretty much say, "You have twins. We are changing our minds and taking pictures of your whole family. And we'd like to take them in your home so you don't have to leave." I put on my whiny face for a few seconds because now I had two new babies, a messy house to clean, and 5 kids to get ready for pictures... and no date night. wah wah. BUT... my whiny face didn't last long because now, I get updated family pictures, new BYU paraphernalia for the whole family, a clean house, and a chance to talk with BYU's full-time photographer (someone who actually is famous). The kids LOVE that they are in a magazine. We picked up a few extra copies of the magazine for them while we were in Provo, which made everybody extra happy because now we can all have our own Jimmer poster. Jimmer's face was much bigger in the magazine than any of ours. Go figure.
Anyway, it ended up being fine and dandy. They took most of the pictures in our loft (which I didn't clean) and the nearby park. Out of the one billion pictures that they took, I was a little surprised to see they chose the droopy baby/funny kid faces picture, but I guess it just makes us look like the "real" family that we are (they were probably going for that). One day (when it's not nearly midnight) I might upload some of the other shots that we liked a little better.
