The boys got it done quick. They left for the hunt early Monday morning and were back by mid-day with a limp turkey. After driving around the area and listening for turkey, they picked a good spot about a mile from our house. Congrats!

The boys were even willing to clean it all for us, we just had to cook it up. Yum!

This one's for you, Don!

So...how long did it take to clean that bird??? And who got to take out the insides??? I just remember my mother saying it took her all night to do a couple chickens the first time since she didn't want to touch anything :)
Looks yummy!
I know that I am a city-girl... but I definitely like my turkey to come in 'butterball' packaging, without the feathers & feet. It is easier to cook/eat if I don't see where it came from. Yeah, I know I am a wimp.
