During the course of the summer, the UT Crocketts have taken
many trips to the lake to try our hand at fishing. We've walked away dejected and empty handed every time...until the fateful day of 10/7/2006.

Alissa and Adelyn both had some pretty impressive catches, but the award for the day goes to Alissa for catching a beautiful 21" 3 lbs. rainbow trout. The only trout I remember seeing that was that big was Don's at Emerald Lake. Adelyn caught the first fish of the day with a pretty small spinning reel. Her first catch was decent, probaby a 15 incher. We were there for about 3 hours and caught about 10 fish. Two of them were shorter than 12", but the rest were above the 15" mark. We all did pretty good for the day (except for the 3 fish we took home). We would be glad to take any visitors to our "special fishing hole." Really we just got lucky picking out a spot. We didn't even think it looked that great until Adelyn caught the first before we could even bait the other hooks.
